Addiction Counselor Education
 
Healing Life Journey, LLC is an Approved Education Provider by Georgia Addiction Counselors Association.  This program is designed to assist trainees to prepare for the addiction counselor certification process as well as re-certification.
Defensive Driving Program #2265

Certified by the Georgia Department of Driver's Services, this 6-hour Defensive Driving Program is the best option for ticket dismissals, points and fine reduction, insurance discounts, and license suspension reinstatement.  This course recaps the basic rules of the road and covers many important Georgia highway laws.

Clinical Evaluation #2771
​
The clinical evaluation consists of a clinical interview, a review of the offender's NEEDS Assessment results, and any other assessment instruments or measures deemed appropriate by the evaluator.  The information obtained from the evaluation must be sufficient to diagnose or rule out a substance-related disorder according to nationally regonized (DSM) criteria and to recommend an appropriate level of service based on American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM).  The law requires an independent clinical evaluation.  That is, the same person cannot evaluate and treat the same offender.

SAP Assessment
​
If you are employed in a safety-sensitive position and you test positive for drugs and/or alcohol, you are in violation of the Department of Transportation federal law 49 CFR Part 40.  You will be required to complete a comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation with a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).  The SAP will recommend a course of treatment and/or education which you must demonstrate successful compliance.  A follow-up SAP evaluation will be conducted before you will be qualified to return to safety-sensitive duty.  The SAP will also make recommendations for your continuing aftercare plan including a follow-up testing plan. 

Clinical Supervision

The goal of clinical supervision is to create a safe supervisory relationship, professional use of self/success and failures, where supervisee gains confidence and competence in areas of both professional and personal development as well as monitoring of the supervisee's work in interest of the consumers' welfare.
